Oh awesome! I'll join:) Today is Piyo and hiking. Weekends are my flexibility/rest days from weightlifting. After my last car accident (hip labral tear and back ligament tear) I wasn't able to walk without pain, so to be back to exercising and teaching classes is so exciting for me.
 
I went to the Gym and cycled, elipticaled, lifted weights and cycled some more. I am quite sure I was there for longer than I was the last day I was there, a few days ago, so I am moving in the right direction!
 
First off, I walked up and down the stairs at church twice. That was my warm-up. Later, after church and lunch, I went to the gym and burned 60 calories, according to the bike I was peddling. It also said my heart rate got up into the 90s, at one point too fast, so I slowed it down a touch and it gave me the green light on heart rate. It times me as well as rates RPMs and so on, but I forgot what all that was now. Too many details for this old brain of mine. I lifted some weight too.

One of the incentives for me to go to the gym is that they get paid by the days I go there. If I go all thirty one days of the month, they get paid the most. Ours is a small town. It is a small gym. So many businesses have folded. I want to see the gym stay open and alive! So I hope to go often. The more I go, the more they get paid.
 
So.. I have been doing 20 laps of 50 m pool daily for over about two weeks, tai chi twice p/w and body balance one session p/w.

I weighed myself today... I've lost over 3 kg, in three weeks of swimming as opposed to several months of walking about 6 km p/day which I enjoyed but it's been way to hot to do the last few months.

I'm starting to bulk up in the shoulders and arms and I've got my breathing and stroke rate going fairly well now. I actually do get it all together at the same time for about 25 - 30 metres now and then and then I think yay! I'm improving and I fall out of the zone and have to concentrate again. I know when I have done a good, efficient lap because I am a bit startled when I touch the wall. I only do freestyle and backstroke.

Amazingly my hip and back are heaps better most of the time.. but unfortunately still very touchy and untrustworthy.

It takes a lot of self-discipline to get my stuff together and go to the pool. Then those seconds before I dive in are horrible (the water is cool) but once I have done one lap it's not cool at all... :rolleyes:

Something that bothers me are the serial goggle adjusters (voyeuristic ppl). And I cannot hear anyone.. but that might be a blessing in a way?
 
I walked to the store and back. For me, it was a big accomplishment. I will walk more tomorrow. I have CFS/ME, COPD, arthritis, and bursitis, which make it difficult as it leaves me exhausted and with an unsteady gait. Still, with cane in hand and rescue inhaler in my pocket, I managed to get some exercise. Yay, me.
