Did some unknown amount, but nothing much, of lifting a 20kg weight overhead with one hand, only thing I can really do while sitting in front of a computer and chatting :P
Had cut back so rapidly at the 5 cigarette mark was having serious withdrawal symptoms including insomnia 3 days now, head fog and head aches.. not to mention the crazy cravings but kept it down. Seeing as how I was suffering I thought why prolong it. So I quit.. Trying to hasten detox over my two day off stretch by sweating it out. Still have the insomnia but honestly I feel better committing to this. So far today about 3 hours what equates to low impact aerobics. Having some fun with dance and isolations, as well as a bit of makeshift bo staff (I love staff..) from my broom handle. Inspired also by a bit of belly dance at points and a sword dance in particular inspired me with balancing the staff on my head while doing isolations including squats and twists.. man what a hoot.. sweating like a pig, still a bit loopy.. but at least I am having fun through the worste of the withdrawal . Hoping I will be able to sleep in a couple days and opting for the quantity workout vs. heavy weights till through this. Could be worse that's for sure.
The last few days with Hank here now I have gotten my runs on the treadmill. I put on a movie and usually bring Hank in and he sleeps on his mat while I run.
Mostly 12-15k the past few days and then when he's resting I do weight strip sets - about 45 minutes on upper and then the next day 45 minutes or so on lower. It seems to be working out.
No Krav Maga or Hockey this week but once I am back on a work routine this week, I will see what time I have for both.
My goal is to be out running with Hank soon but that's going to take some time before he is healed and strong enough.
In the meantime, we had two short hikes around the neighbourhood.
Homer is out of town with his people and I am looking forward to introducing them soon.
I took a gentle walk through Walmart. I have been in and out of the hospital with Lyme Disease, which I have had since 1985. I have been there twice in 8 days. I had been in remission for a couple of years, but it has hit me hard this year. Anyway, I hope that a long slow walk through Walmart will count as exercise. That is all I am up to this week.
Saturday: 4 mile muddy trail run.
Sunday: 7 mile muddy, hilly trail run with a friend!
Meant to do yoga this morning but had trouble sleeping and couldn't get out of bed on time.
