I have been told that I have severe chronic PTSD, cool (not). At first I was told I have GAD (Generalized Anxiety Disorder) by a doctor that did not know a thing about PTSD. So I guess you could say I learned a lot of things when I was looking into GAD/PANIC Disorder. My reason for writing this is to share somethings that you may get some help from as I did. That help a lot when I was told I had PTSD, as I had more of an understanding of what the f*ck was going on in my body and why.

I have been asked what PTSD is like, I said it's like having GAD/PANIC Disorder on steroids, plus some other heavy shit added in for good measure, like nightmares and flashbacks. When going to a counselor, psychologist or psychiatrists for help with PTSD, I have never been told very much about the workings of Anxiety or Panic....In my search for info, I found a very good site in the UK, it's called No More Panic. This site does not deal with PTSD, but does deal with Anxiety and Panic and that is a large part of PTSD. Below are a few links about Common Symptoms of Panic Attacks, Anxiety and will tell you why you feel like shit and give you some ideas how to deal with it.
