And it all comes crashing down. I am applying for a new job but don't see how i'll be able to take care of my baby now.

@Casey_03 The system is there, so use it for everything there is. Housing, food stamps, health insurance. At least until you can get back on your feet. I'm not sure if WIC is nation wide but you can check into that too. It's not just for the kids, it helps to feed you too.

I already have all things but they won't help me pay my student loans (which I can't get a forbearance on). And housing takes years; i'm already trying to get on the waiting list but was told it's unlikely i'd get anything. once my grandma's house is sold in the next few months, i'm out on the street.

Are women shelters options in such situations? At least to advise? There has got to be an agency that helps in these cases.

When I was in school, I had several jobs where a place to live was part (or all) of my salary. I know that kind of thing can be hard to find, but it's a thought. There's a web site called 'caretaker.com' (I think) that I've used in the past to look for that kind of job. I'm really sorry all this is piling up on you! Does your family know? Any way they'd let you stay in the house, at least until you get another job?
