Sufferer Lost My Wife W Years Ago. Single Dad.

Hi. Watched my wife take her last breath. Lots of symptoms. Not sure what to do. Wake up struggling for breath. Never sleep. Have moved on have a wonderful girlfriend. Could this be ptsb? She suffocated from pulmonary embolism. I now am terribly claustrophobic and smother from any contact.

Hi and welcome to the forum. Are you in any type of therapy with a therapist. You need to get a proper diagnosis as we cannot do that here for you. I am sad about what you went through and are currently enduring and suffering. This is a great place to work on your recovery. It is nice to meet you. peace and healing.

Hi cblake. I am in a similar boat, except I watched my father die. I hope that you do see a therapist. I have some terrifying symptoms that I don't want to live with for the rest of my life, or at least don't want to live not knowing how to control them.

I was diagnosed as PTSD as well.
