ptsd
I understand thinking you have alzheimers, the thinking process is difficult to control. Talking about secluding youself in your home is a classic, huh?
I've had ptsd 5 years diagnosed but 8 years since it started , from physical injuries at work. My first two years I couldn't comunnicate at all & what I said made no since to any one. I couldn't read one paragraph & retain the info long enough to understand the next. I was so stressed I had pain, chronic sciatica and the nerve endings on my skin , hives or boils, physical as well as mental. My husband has ptsd from my injuries as well so it's like the blind leading the blind.
On the possitive side, which is my main "mantra", I've found alternative treatment. Every am I go to my peaceful place on the patio, it gets me out of my prison, the house. I do controled breathing, thinking of calm & peace. Then I focus on forgiving, some one, some thing, but especially myself. I try to write my feelings each day. I planted basil and took care of it . I know that sounds strange but growing plants, watering them, pulling weeds , helps me think I'm taking care of me too.
I have progressed a lot. I can read, unless I get stressed, I can write too. Getting out of the house, outside, was the start to my recovery.
