Making Lemonade Out Of Lemons

Work wise I have had a tough time lately with clients requiring greater and longer attention than normal, trouble getting good staff and fixing mistakes of past staff in my own time.

At the same time I have study commitments due to legislative requirements.

I have enrolled in a Law module for the third semester, withdrawing from the other two due to lack of time with little desire to study the module not helping.

Anyway, I was granted a 2 week extension and ended up being sick as dog with the flu for 8 days along with dealing with life's other hiccups.

I now have 11 hours left to complete 2 assignments covering 120 pages of law. Wish me luck - I just need to pass but I have to try to read and digest the material while already tired.

Time to try and make lemonade and quickly. :eek:

Good luck, Nicolette. Remember, 11 hours for 120 pages is just under 11 pages an hour, which leaves some room to make notes as you go to reflect on the reading and digest through short pauses for summary/transcription of points. Remember that you should be able to summarize the point of each paragraph in a single sentence, so you can work as you go.

Thanks all. Only managed to make lemon juice out of lemons as it took me 11 hours to finish one assignment (with 2 hours of client work included in that) as it is an 80 hour module for 3 assignments.

Amethist must have mixed up some awesome oils or something was on my side, as when I submitted the second assignment (during a partial meltdown of running out of time) I asked what time I had until on Friday to submit the third assignment and graciously they told me I could have to 9am on Monday. :D

In order to trick myself into not avoiding it further I told Anthony they gave me until Saturday night so he pushed me all Saturday afternoon to finish the third assignment which was submitted. Hopefully I will pass as I only had time to respond to the answers let alone read the 50 pages it covered as I know a fair bit about company law and I'm either competent or not - no grading.

Mind you, when I found out I had until Saturday (aka Monday) Anthony sent me straight for a massage. I was so stressed and my muscles were so tight that I had actually pulled my neck, shoulder and ribs out of place so even breathing was even shallow as my ribs were pinching my lungs. Anyway, got off the massage table and crack, crack, crack with everything moving backing into place by itself. :tup:

Anyway, must be off as Anthony is saying "don't you have work to do?!" :rolleyes:
