Good evening,

My name is Spencer Walker and I am currently the Board Chairman of the Warfighter Foundation. I served honorably in the United States Marine Corps both active and reserve. My most recent combat deployment was in 2010 to Helmand Province, Afghanistan. After separating from the Marine Corps I worked as a security contractor in Iraq and Afghanistan.

This year myself and a few other combat veteran Marines started a foundation to support combat veterans battling with invisible wounds. I joined this site because it is a great way to lend our support as well as learn from others about what has worked best to help with PTSD.

Our Board of Directors at the Warfighter Foundation is not a group of guys in suits and ties. We are all combat veterans who deal with the various effects of PTSD and have made it our goal to assist as many of our brothers as possible.

I hope that I am welcomed warmly by all of you and that we can assist any of you in need. I offer my full support and feel that I have a lot to learn from the other members here.

Not to put a downer on your post, but advertising anything is frowned upon here. Send Anthony who is the Forum owner a PM just to get authorisation.

If he is happy with what you tell him and deems it OK you shouldn`t have problems getting permission, but out of politness it would be a good thing to do.

First, welcome SW, one new guy to another. I'm a new member too.

I've battled post traumatic stress and the system for over forty years. Lately I convinced myself that it was best to interact with the good folks on this site, and troops from Ft. Lewis one-on-one, and stay away from the politics associated with veteran's issues.

But, each day I see more and more sites and groups dedicated to our common interests and problems, and the activist juices begin to flow again. HOWEVER, I'm gonna go slowly, and not waste any more time on politicians who "wave the flag and ignore the blood".
