Hi just wondering if others have had this experience or if it is a symptom of PTSD. Since starting my meds Quetiapine and Escitalopram I feel like im sitting on a swing, and that my whole body is swinging. And have also developed shaky hands/ fingers. Is this meds related or PTSD?

Hi Gidge, not sure if it's a side effect of those meds or not; but it could also be anxiety or something else unrelated causing what is going on. Have you mentioned it to whoever prescribed those meds to see what the side effects are? I can related to the shaking as far as anxiety contributing to it.

Hi Gidge,

It could be a combination of everything. You don't say whether you or not you are seeing a therapist/counsellor, they would be able to help you through what you are experiencing

Am seeing my pschychiatirst tmrw so will mention it then. Just wanted to see if it was normal first or not.

Hi, I always look up the meds and side effects before taking them, you can just look them up by name and usually find out what they are from there. Not knowing the doses and how often or if you have taken them before, or being a dr, I couldn't say. It could be from the meds if the shaking started just after taking them, I might give the dr the call just make sure everything is okay as a precaution. I always like to be sure when taking something I've never had before. Nothing wrong with asking questions.

Well went to see my Pshchiatirst who reckons is prob related to Quetiapine, and said i could stop if for day to see if it improves, although prob then wont be able to sleep :( May just have to live with the symptoms and hope they pass so can at least sleep.
