Hi there, I live in Melb & am looking for a ptsd support group or ptsd friendship group. I AM reliable & attend gps regularly! I find my anxiety support groups are good but I have so much more than anxiety I feel like I'm don't quite belong & lot of the stuff said about anxiety can be confusing/stressful because it doesn't take into account the trauma factor. The main thing is to have a positive attitude, it's taken me years to find mine so I'm looking for kindred spirits! meeting up for coffee & conversation is a great idea :). Marks

I currently reside in the Weribbee area. I have been diagnosed with PTSD for at least 20years. I am a professional and struggle in managing my PTSD and work. I was wondering if those in the workforce group would like to join a PSTD group in Werribee. We could meet at the Werribee Plaza Library on a weekend day or even local coffee shop, I hear the pancake pallor is opening up soon. Only those that are serious please reply. In a weeks time I will see who responds and set up a group meeting place and time. The reason why I am only suggesting a criteria of those in the workforce as its a particular area that I believe is missing in being able to maintain work and good wellbeing. Please reframe from taking me in a bias way as I believe many types of PSTD groups can be established and this is one type.

You may want to still create the group yourself then on meetup.com, as that has far more users looking for something of interest, and is likely to come across those in that area who search PTSD support, as meetup use localisation also, which means local content gets prominence in searches.

Hi Anthony,
I was wondering what the current status of the albert park/weribee groups were. I had a look on meetup and found a general anxiety group. Oh, i wish to have "simple" anxiety.

The meetup group closed due to lack of attendance, based on the message I got.

I no longer do the albert park stuff, for the same reason, as people just didn't attend regularly.
