Hello,

My name is Mike Ange. I live in Virginia Beach Virginia, USA.My reason for longing on to this site is to help any one concerned of who is suffering with Post Tramatic Disorer.

I was in Viet Nam in 1978 and also in 1970. Apparently, I suffered from PTSD for many years and did not realize, I suffered many year with this disorder and it ruined my life.,

I those days, PTSD was not regonize, same as in WW2.

I can say that I really got screwed up and suffered a lots. Only, If someone had realized the PTSD in those years, it would have samed me a great deal of suffering.

I am 73 years old now. And, have cured my self with out any out side help.

I would say, with out exxaferation, I suffered about fifteen years.

But, I finally realize that recognizing the disorder is the first step.

I will be willing to disuss it with anyone, if I can be of help

Sorry, Typo . I was in Nam in 1969 and 1970. I missed Tec which was in 1968. For those who were there.

Welcome to the site. I'm a carer but my husband was in Vietnam 68-69. What job did you have in Vietnam? Were you drafted or enlisted? In those days they didn't get any help. It took him a long time to recognize he had any problems. He still suffers with it. He has sought help at times, but it's a hard thing to get over.
That's amazing that you cured yourself. It must have taken alot of work.
No everyone can get better like that, so consider yourself happy that you were able to do so. It's nice of you to try to help others. I'm sure you have been able to encourage alot of people.
