Minor Successes Remain Great Triumph..

Just an update; I passed my last final exam on Monday and after 7 more work days, I will be done with my college courses. I will then be awaiting my Associates of Applied Science degree in Medical Information Technology/Business Administration which I will receive in May (09). I was told that I could not go back to school because I was disabled. I was told this by a woman who worked for Vocational Rehabilitation. As it turned out, she did not want to do the paperwork.....I fixed her little red wagon and I am graduating, so don't let anyone tell you that kind of crud.

Thanks cragger65 and fin, I am happy to be graduating as I struggled for 4 years to get this 2 yr degree and although I was allowed disability accommodations, I never needed them. All I needed was the extra time it took, which was due to a relapse. Since the odds have been stacked against me for most of my life, I am proud of this accomplishment and I am the first one in my family to earn a college degree. PTSD Sufferer/Survivor 1, Perpetrators and chronic disorder 0.

I am proud, but I am most proud of the fact that I rid myself of people who were not good for me, and surrounded myself with people who encourage me and cheer me on. Thank you, I am grateful.
