The clinical pathways (standards of care) for pain management here in the US states that the PCP or the prescribing provider must have a contract with the patient if they are prescribed narcotics or certain other pain medications i.e. Tramadol long-term (generally more than 30 days). The contract outlines the expectations of both patient and prescriber and includes things like they will only get the meds Rx'd by that provider, that they will get the Rx filled at only one pharmacy, there will be no early refills, and that urine drug screens can and will occur both regularly and randomly. If you have anything other that what you have been Rx'd for show up in the drug screen OR if you don't have the Rx'd med show up you can be or will be "fired" by your provider. This is the standard for practice in the civilian sector as well as through the VA. The VA follows the Federal laws which still have marijuana listed as a Schedule I controlled substance, so even if you live in a state where medical marijuana is legal and you have a card, it doesn't matter -- it is still considered to be illegal. It isn't that the medical providers will report you to the law, they just won't prescribe for you any longer because you are out of compliance with the long-term opioid drug contract you presumably agree to and have signed.

Interesting. So lawfully one may choose to opt out of pharmaceutical treatment.
Marijuana saved my life.
Pharmaceutical pills drove me into deep suicidal thoughts and depression.
The normal argument is,"Well we don't know what the effects may be of "Psychosis" and other scary words an such.
Well you know what? They don't really well know the effect of any dang prescription they're prescribing ESPECIALLY in
mixture with multiple different types etc. Blatant plot to kill no excuse. Notice how you cannot charge them federally for giving you this pill?
Hmmm wonder why?

So let's see live and confront what it is your dealing with smoking a lil bud to keep the stress at bay, or zombify with pills and numb yourself to emotion as well as risk hightened suicidal thoughts or harming others. I don't figure I'll be coerced into taking any more cocktails from these cooky looking mfing psychiatrists.
And I mean look at the documentaries on psychiatry on youtube for a true understanding.

Supposedly, the VA is studying it again. And I can lay odds what the outcome of that study will be. And you can place the blame right on the shoulders of big pharma. They have huge sway in D.C. Oh, yes, it was used a great deal in our past, so much so there are still places in this country it grows wild in the drainage s next to the highways. (Not smoke able quality.) The stuff has tons of uses. But then you guys know all that.

I believe that having some states go medical, make it that much more difficult for the other states to justify continuing to make it illegal. There are also rumblings that they're about to change it to a lesser schedule.

I risked my career smoking it but thankfully never got a piss test. Now that I no longer work, and it is medically legal in my state, I use it a great deal. And I found out that I was using the wrong type all those years...Sativa. Sativa works against PTSD, amplifying anxiety and paranoia. Indica is what we should be using, especially if we want to rid ourselves of big pharma.

I do believe change is coming, but we have to work for it, however we can.

Sarg

You're right Sarg. About some states legal making it harder for other states to justify legalizing.
Makes a lot of sense. I'll wait a year or two more before going back to Co.
Where I can grow my own personal limit of plants. Indica plants for sure,
sativa does amplify the shit outa anxiety and paranoia so beware any others who
don't know. But I gotta make do with what I can, maybe I'll put in a request lol.

Not everyone is going to react the same to a sativa and every strain is going to be different. Different %, grow, delivery, etc. some are better than others. Same with indicas and hybreeds.

For anyone that's new to smoking, do your research and take it slow.
