I've (for the most part) learned to be less reactive and more proactive. And, good rest, helps me be the latter more so than the former.

I have learnt over the last few years not to panic about very much.

Hubby goes into crisis mode and I deal with it. Boiler breaks down, check the bank account then phone the plumber. :tup:

I too am learning not to be so reactive to my husband. He is just walking around the house. It makes me nervous but I am remaning calm and reassuring. I think it is helping him. He is so out of it today.

I learnt to say "no" but it seems my sufferer has 2 differnt rules to live by now. One rule for him and another for me. He refuses to see anything from my point of view. So I have learned not to rock the boat anymore and move on. He knows where I am if he needs me.

To live in the moment and not take anything, or anyone, for granted. I may not always be successful, but for each time I accomplish it, the past loosens its hold and I can truly be and live in the present.

If you set any rules in relationship, things will get only difficult. That is my experience in friendships and family relationships. I hear you on this.

Gizmo, This is a really good one. I have learned from so many members. When my brain starts skewing my thought process, if I focus on my surrounding; I gain focus of where I am in the moment. Rather than allowing the self doubt to take hold. Hugs Whitney
