I'm on eggshells. I'm constantly worried I'm going to get "that call".

I dont remember if I said this or not but I found out a few days later that she had made two other attempts not long before this one.
She made a few more when she was a teenager. I thought she was ok now. Apparently she's not.

I’m glad she’s ok. But please get her evaluated if you haven’t already. If she needs inpatient or outpatient please let her get that treatment and be open to working with staff as needed to facilitate treatment. I was at the receiving end at this because I was the child who attempted and my parents got me evaluated. Best wishes.

This is such a scary thing to have happen. My daughter has BPD and for a long time she was chronically suicidal. I can imagine how worried you are right now. Hope she is able to get the level of care she needs.

She is an adult but she was taken to the hospital that night and released the next day.

Sometimes when a person is bad enough to be suicidal, even as an adult, it's helpful to say, "I'm going to help you sign up for outpatient services." I had a suicide attempt in 1995, lived through it, my husband read my suicide note and woke me up, and when I said I was ok, he went to work. If he had said I'm taking you to the hospital, I would have gone and received help. Not that this applies to you. If it feels like something you can do, great, if not, great.
