I am so sorry to hear about the problems little Luna is having. You and he are in my thoughts and prayers. My little Turkey (a cat) just lost her battle with a long illness so I know exactly what you are going through. Big hugs to you and Luna. Try to keep your mind in the present and enjoy each day as much as you can.

I know this thread has been dormant for a while...which is good! Piglet has been doing well, save one bout with GI Stasis (basically, digestive system stall-out) in November. However, he hasn't been quite himself this past week, and I found a bit of a lump in his lower belly...a trip to the vet revealed that it contains bacteria, so it's some kind of abscess. What's odd is that there are no external signs of abscess. Anyway, he is on a very strong antibiotic, a med for his gut, a painkiller, and being hand-fed a couple times a day. If the antibiotic doesn't work, he will be having surgery - which I would be present for, just in case.

I'm trying to stay positive, but honestly I don't have a very good feeling about this one. Poor little piggie...I feel so bad for him...I wish he could just stay healthy.

Sorry to hear this Mina.

I remember the last time he was ill, and how worried you were then. So I can imagine how worried you are this time. I hope the vet can sort it out without the need for surgery.

aww Mina, sorry to hear Piglet isn't doing well again! How is he acting though? He doesn't sound like he's acting too sick, and if so, that's a good sign! Even if he is acting a bit sick, hopefully the antibiotic will help... which antibiotic is it? If it did come down to surgery, the good news is that it's a pretty noncomplicated surgery (usually).

Sorry to hear Mina....I hope he gets better.........When my daughter was little, we had 3 of them...Willie, Wiggles and Wilbur....They were cute... Squeaky, but cute....
