At the end of the day we all signed up to sacrifice ourselves for something more then ones self. In the Corp there is a saying. "If it's not leaking it's not working right" We all got on the helicopters, planes, and ships. Some of us even spent time hanging from cables as a helicopter was flying around. Some of us spent there time in hiding in two man teams looking down the barrel of a weapon that was created to take the soul from a distance. Pilots fly, Marines take the beach, And the Navy controls the sea's. The Army takes and holds ground. All of knew what the possible cost could be. Admitting the fear was a different story. The talk of the golden bullet is made in passing like a bad joke. The Seals knew what they were doing. They knew the cost and excepted it. Daily. In my mind they are part of a history that will be passed on. Imortalized and remembered as the guy's that got the man who planned the biggest attack on US soil next to Pearl Harbor.

I deal with the Beast everyday. They gave me a little bit of closer. I thank them for that!!!!!

Why do 90% of us have some sort of "I can say where I was" part of their history?

Me thinks war powers have gone a bit too far. More like Caesar's now instead of Pres or PM.

Took an interesting course in the military about the Middle East whiel back based on "The Pentagon's New Map" By Thomas P.M. Barneett. Focused on his theory of the Core and the Gap. The Core is the increasing modernized interconnected world and is very threatening to the decreasing Gap which clings to third world tribal existence that men & first-born sons can dominate.
