Hello. I've been reading the stories and very helpful work on this site for a month or so (girlfriend put me on to it).
I left the (British) Army ten years ago, after 23 years, most of it on active service (Northern Ireland, Gulf 1, Bosnia, Kosovo and a quite a few other short & interesting jobs).
I'd say payback time started two or three years ago, and a few months ago was about as bad as I'd want it.
I recognise most of what I've read here, and can see the rock-solid soundness of much of the advice. Anthony you are doing a great job, stick with it.
No names no pack drill for the contributors but there's a couple of you my girlfriend swears must be secret twins. I told her it's a similarity of experience, not genes, but....
I hope, firstly, to be able to offer some common experience that might help reassure carers/girlfriends/wives/partners et. al., you cop the shrapnel when we go pop.
I've done most of the things that upset you, I do hope that setting them out helps you understand your agro a bit better, this site has certainly been a comfort for my lass.
