This forum welcomes you, a great place to stop by at anytime and chat with people who are going through the same pain as you are. It is normal, completely normal to be frightened after such abuse. I am frightened every day and it seems many times I can not breathe. What is normal for other people is not normal for us. Stresses that are in our lives are much much more intense for PTSD sufferers than they are for others.

As for the abuse we can not change what happened, but it haunts us for so long. What is also scary is the fact when we begin to notice how many abusive personalities are really out there.
It is very very scary when you figure out that a person is abusive, a pedophile, a criminal. The fear grips me when I find out. A criminal person or an abusive person seems to interfere with my goals with purpose because that is what an abusive person does.

How can we protect ourselves from such evil entities?

Thank you for all your welcomes...I appreciate it. I am having a lot of depressed days and lonely days as well. My days and nights are filled with isolation more and more and meltdowns are getting more frequent.

Hi @ddonna5959 and welcome to the forum.
I understand. I am over 50 and was sexually abused as a child. I have been in therapy for 5 years and it has made so much difference. I see you are diagnosed with PTSD but are you actually in therapy for it?
Regards
Lucy
