News New Cops Told To Go Out And Cause Ptsd

I can see in their graduating slogan that perhaps they wanted to pre-emptively feel power over the possible traumas seen and experienced in their work, but NO, this is not the way to view it.

"Don't suffer from PTSD, go out and cause it."

The police are supposed to protect people, not cause PTSD, and I see it a failure of their training that this is not deeply felt. If as a class they could come up with this statement, I fear they are misguided and quite possibly more of a danger to society than a protection of it. Shame on the institution for leading into this mindset.

If the cops weren't criminalising consensual activities

Would you care to pay the $118,000 hospital bill that's still outstanding from my asthmatic son being admitted to the hospital after my idiot neighbors decided cooking their own would be a good way to not have to fund their habit?

Cops don't criminalize consensual activities. They enforce the laws, not write them.

Or sans the Hazmat & SWAT units arresting them, how about next time, after my son is stable I just dump 3 bodies in the street & torch their f*cking house? Or I could spike them to their house, cut between their ribs, yank out their lungs, and pour their f*cking chemicals so they die in agony as their lungs melt in chemical fire.

I'd prefer to not involve the cops...just get the gasoline or kerosene even Hennessey if necessary, f*ck it whatever at hand is flammable!!!

@Ed Norton I think we can get the job done without making the drama. Some photographers are out there just for the money, not for the awareness. Everyone can't be trusted in today's time.

For a while, think we all are photographer. We all click the pics and make everyone watch it. Do we need to do this? What if doing this all throws off some people? What if someone becomes scared? Right? We don't need everyone to become photographer. Just few good people. That's all, all can be done peacefully.

I hope I am making sense here.

Ed, I think you are being heard through your diary, all in good respect and sympathy to you. Then why would you need someone with a camera? Wouldn't that be more dangerous for yourself?

you wanna make a joke with your cop buddies, that's fine. but seriously, making this shit a slogan? besides, these aren't even seasoned cops. they're barely academy grads. really motherf*cker? ur gonna oo-rah this shit with powdered donut residue on your cadet uniform? :O_o:

This thread is highly confusing to me.

I feel it is, well, ridiculuosly tactless to try and victimize the police in a thread by somebody suffering PTSD from police abuse. Come on guys, you all suffer PTSD and can see how @Ed Norton's link must make him feel. There is being rational, being distant, even being coldly detached and then there is being cruel, accidently or deliberatly.

Friday, I'm sorry about your son's experience, and the bill you got landed with for others irresponsibility.

Would you care to pay the $118,000 hospital bill that's still outstanding from my asthmatic son being admitted to the hospital after my idiot neighbors decided cooking their own would be a good way to not have to fund their habit?

People don't furtively manufacture laundry soap, refrigerators, HiFi etc in residential buildings for a good reason

They can buy, far cheaper, far higher quality and far more conveniently.

Because thugs in blue costumes are not yet pointing guns at the people who make those goods in factories, and who proudly put their names onto their goods.

Those thugs in tax victim supplied blue costumes do go pointing guns at, and caging people who lack political connection, who choose to supply the demand for recreational pharmaceuticals,

That's why the labs are trying to be in stealth mode.

In terms of funding habits, clean medical grade, known strength diamorphine (heroin) is around a dollar a day for an addict, through a normal pharmacy.

In terms of cops only enforcing laws

Although a tautology, it isn't " a mere tautology " that a coerced action is not in the interest of the person being coerced.

If it had been in their interest, the action would not have needed coercion.

That coercion is used, shows that it was not in their interest.
See my first comment on the thread for the interests involved.

There is a long historical and anthropological literature on consensual legal systems, for a well referenced exploration, see Bruce L Benson, the enterprise of law. For a very readable case study, Anderson's, the not so wild, wild West explores reciprocal consensual law and protection beyond the American frontier.

For academic legal coverage of the sequence of revenue gathering distortions that lead to the destruction of consensual legal systems and their replacement with the current authoritarian system in which the state gets to extort money, but the actual victims of crimes go in compensated, see Pollock & Maitland, a history of English law, vol 1.

In terms of the laws being enforced impartially, see Sparky McLaughlin s "damned from memory" and search for the name Gary Webb, San Jose mercury, for examples of favoured political interests being allowed to reap monopoly profits from drug running, while cops were employed to keep little fish from competing with them.
