Hey, Im Spc. Dave, And i did a 9 month deployment to Kandahar, Afghanistan in 2011. I served with the 52nd Ordnance Group, 20th Support Command, U.S. Army, and my MOS was as an EOD tech. I suffer from both PTSD and TBI, and am more than happy to meet other Combat Vets.

Welcome, spc. Dave! Come on in, grab a chair and join in. Our webmaster, Anthony has assembled an excellent library of articles and videos that will help. Lotz of years of experience with PTSD here with the various members and if we don't have an answer, we'll point you in the direction to find it!

Best PTSD site on the net, as far as I'm concerned.

Yeah bro i really appreciate the warm welcome and support!!!

But a little more about me i guess, I served in Kandahar Province, mainly Panj'waii, and Arghandab districts and all interconnecting routes of traffic. Very busy summer in Kandahar, especially in Panj'waii, a WHOLE lot of controlled dets lol :p

Good Afternoon mate from tropical North Queensland. Welcome to the forum.

We are all mad men here so you will fit it fine. EOD tech hey, well that is as close and personal as it gets.

Have a read and ask anything you want.

When I think of EOD, I try to visualize kneeling down and playing with something that could blow me into vapor but it doesn't compute. That and tunnel rats have to be the toughest jobs there are.

Thanks for the welcome guys, It was a pretty crazy job, lots of adrenaline for sure. And to Zipperhead, God bless you bro, i got hit a couple times too. Both times in Panj'waii.... Oh and Masum is mountainous as hell, it surprised me even for Afghanistan.
Kandahar is just dusty :p
