when on a "Group" page, in the left column where some of the members are listed, there is overlapping text.

Yep, I just checked that on the default style, and it does it also... it is more to do with long names must go somewhere. If they had a break, they would break under one another, but if one word, like cherryblossom, that has to go soemwhere below the image, hence overlap.

The reason it now loads a lot faster is that I stripped a great deal of queries and HTML from the templates, hence it can load a lot faster now. I optimized all the images in this design, cutting each down by around 50% - 75% in size. Performance was one aspect of this design, hence why I plan on just keeping this design going forward and only making minimal subtleties for special events to highlight them, though not compromise the quality of this design.

I am having problems with the time it takes for both the site to load and then every time I click on a post, it takes ages to load. I have run a cleaning program. Is there something else I can do? I had no problems with the speed of loading with the old format at all.

Dump your browser cache, and you may have to dump the active logins or cookies for this forum only, so you have a full reset. Once you have a clean slate and view one page of the site, the majority of the site is then cached and loaded from your computer page by page. Only the new content / page version is downloaded to your computer.

I dumped the cache yesterday and kept trying it. It must have needed to be shut down completely, because when I restarted this morning everything was really fast. Its great.
