Hello everyone,
I am a pharmacist and about 4 years ago I was held up by gunpoint. My life was threatened by the robber 3 times if I did not do a certain command I would be dead in 3 seconds.
After the occurrence the company I worked for sent a counselor in for me for 1 visit. Over the past 4 years my anxiety level has gone through the roof ( I previously did not have anxiety). I still have frequent flashbacks and wake up several times a week with a rapid heart rate and sweats. I have seen my family doctor and put me on anxiolytics. She also recommended a counselor. I did see her 3 times but was not really happy with her questioning.
My question to everyone is this, would it be beneficial to get out of the pharmacy I was held up in and go to a different location? Or do you see me having this issue in any pharmacy I work at.
Thank you and is unusual for PTSD to lingerie for 4 years and then something set it off again?
