New Job?

I have an opportunity to start a new job as an insurance adjuster which will come with a lot of good benefits. I will have health insurance for my family & I, which will ensure that I can continue with therapy if I need to. The pay is also a little more than I receive now. I am, however, unsure if I should take it. I do like my current job, for the most part. I have a semi-private office area, a window near my desk, and the bathroom is mostly comfortable. The new job has no windows in the office, small cubicles with half walls for not much privacy, and a fluorescent-lit stall-type bathroom. These sound like small ridiculous things to consider, but I find that the light from a window helps me feel more grounded. And having a comfortable bathroom helps me to not freak out (I have issues there). I don't want to turn down an opportunity to make more money & have benefits for my family, but I also don't want to set myself up for unhappiness and/or failure. The other difference between the two jobs is that my current job is with a small law firm where I have a great deal of leeway and creativity in my job; the new job would be with a large national corporation where I would have to do everything in a very scripted manner. If anyone has any thoughts, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

I've found that corporations are unfriendly to people with health issues. However, I'm never sure if small businesses are any better. That would pretty much be my primary concern.

I worked at a high tech corporation, and when the PTSD kept getting worse, the whispers were always, "Ava is sick. She's not in the office for a few days every month or so. I don't care if she's still delivering projects on time, perhaps she shouldn't work here."

It doesn't really matter who the whispers come from. Whispers aren't discounted in corporate life, they're ammo in the wrong hands.

What about the job content? Would you be dealing with stressed or distressed clients/customers? That would be problematical for me. So would the lack of daylight.

But I think you already know what you are going to do. And I think you are right.
