New Here
I just found this forum and have been reading through posts for a few days. It feels like a relief to have so much to read that sounds like me. There is so much here that I relate to. I have already made some connections about my PTSD that I didn't realize before.

Here is a list of things that have "grabbed me" ---

  • The "Dragon Brain" article; I like the description of how the PTSD sufferer is so keen on reading other people and the fact that our anger goes from zero to 60 in much less time than the average dude.
  • A few posts that mentioned loud noises; I have been able to realize that it is sudden loud noises that can send me into an episode.
  • A post that referred to PTSD as an injury. This helps me remember that it is not my fault that I have these problems.
I look forward to learning more about myself and advancing on my healing.

Thank you for all of the genuine support.:)

Welcome NoNannas,
I've been on here a while now, but am still learning!
It really does help to discover that you are not alone, and on here you certainly never will be
Best wishes, Lucy x

Hi NoNannas,

Welcome to the PTSD Forum. It is amazing just how many of the posts and articles can hit home. Before I found this forum I felt like an alien, and then coming here I realized I wasn't alone in this battle. The support of the members here is amazing, and so helpful when working on healing.

Take care.
Debbie

Thank you for the welcomes. I have a lot of questions to ask, but I'm not sure where to post them. I guess I'll try here first.
I am transitioning from 2 separate meds down to 1 and I have been experiencing some PTSD symptoms more strongly and frequently than I have for the last couple of years. I know a lot more about myself now than I did back then and have more tools to work with, but I was wondering what anyone else might be able to share about muscle soreness.

When I am dealing with a episode can feel certain muscles in my upper thighs a hips start to ache. They remain sore and stiff for hours after I have calmed down.

Is this typical?

Is there anything that I might be able to do for releif?

Thanks!!
Nana
