No Easter Eggs....no Chocolates.

I love chocolate, but take tiny pieces and let them completely melt in my mouth. Realized that even when I gave a piece of filet mignon to my dog it was gulped, no savoring. Making her wait to at least sniff and sort of drool was better. Nothing wrong with chocolate, it is all there and so rich in the slow melt. Mindful indulgence:):joyful::happy:

Good for you! Taking the first step (cutting out corn syrup) can lead you to the next step in brain retraining. I finally (took a few years) cut out all refined foods & the only "sugar" that passes over my tongue these days comes in the form of HONEY. A little goes a long way & when I add a bit of almond butter (no salt or additives) & a bit of cacao powder, I can make myself a small bowl of delicious "chocolate" that is healthy & makes me feel good about what I am putting in this old body of mine. Gone are the days of my endless eating & running to the clearance isle for discounted bags of holiday candy!:speechless:

I also took it a step further & went to eating as much raw food as I possibly could & found that the Paleo "diet" is suiting my needs quite well. Giving up bread was not as difficult as I thought it would be. Feeling good is worth the loss in my brain!
Kudos to anyone to cuts out unhealthy/toxic foods from their daily diets. It can add years to your life.

I avoided. I felt great about it.

I had a busy week.

I grabbed a pack of Kit Kat and shared. Later I went and had more Kit Kat... then i raided my therapists box of welcome reception chocolates. I loaded my mouth up. Fancy brand too maybe 70 cents each. I had about... enough to feel guilty seeing the box near empty. The reception put the lid on.... i wanted to say sorry.

The Kit Kat punch line.. have a break have a kitkat.. really is deep in my psyche. I am craving a kitkat ice cream or thinking of raisin bran with chunks of kitkat.

This is why psychology and marketing sells. Kit kat is red.. STOP have a break! Yummy...

I pledge to this forum no more kitkat this week.

Grant me the serenity.....yes

Thank you. I was told about leaky gut syndrome and my psych told me about keto genic diets.

And anti inflamatory diets too.

I am drink kefir and love it.

My OT has helped guide to cook again. I am relearning mindfulness and how to honour what reaches our palate and souls.

@shatter eyes I seem to remember in one commercial for kit kat, they say "break me off a piece of that kit kat bar" & it just occurred to me how much in line that is with my old days in the drug world. We would get a big rock of cocaine or meth & say "break me off a piece"! Hmm, kind of makes me wonder if the writer was into the same or if they wanted to appeal to those of us with addictive personalities!
