No Longer Angry With Ex-wife

So, it's been 12 years since the separation, and before that was 9 years of an abusive marriage (a two-way street). I hadn't spoken to her in a couple of years, but I called her on Friday - there was a topic too sensitive for SMS or email. And she was guarded but respectful. And I did my best to do the right thing in terms of respecting everybody else's need to feel safe, and also my own need to feel safe. We agreed on a plan. And she thanked me for my sensitive handling of the issue.

And all the anger flowed out of me. And it has stayed gone over the weekend - I'm much harder to provoke than I was a couple of weeks ago, let alone 12 years ago.

Congratulations... it took me 25 years. I wasn't on here long when I had a call from my ex. I had forgiven him though at the 15 year mark. I forgave my brother in 7. (improvement)
