No Where to Go, and Having Difficulty Getting Professional Support

Trapped, I do agree, she is a bitch for saying it's "your fault". I had a psychiatrist pull that one on me, and it screws with my head still some days. Hit the punching bag, vent it all out, don't let it fester. Then just take some deep breaths and remember there are a lot of people on the board here rooting for you, more than happy to lend support.

take care,
Dave

I whole heatedly agree with you about over analyzing people and diagnosing them. I'm not sure if you realize that is what you did when you stated you wanted to call a psych evaluation on your friend.

It's not fun when someone does that to us. Therefore, we shouldn't do it to others.

However, most of my comments to others stem from my own individual experiences, which I related my experience to the other person's issue, and I've gotten a lot of good reputation for being open and honest about it.

But not everyone here comments that way which makes us all unique. While one person's way of communicating may upset you, another persons will comfort you.

I hope you are able to find the right therapist because the one you have doesn't seem to be helping you based on your posts. It seems she causes you grief? That is something I feel you should really look at because IMO it could cause you to give up on therapy all together.

Take care
Tammy

I also think we should all be able to support each other, but not generalize from our own individual experiences, and not try to diagnose or over-analyze- that job is just much more safely left to professionals.

Hope this doesn't sound harsh- I just don't want this thread to run entirely off topic, which it started to do.
