It's important to remember that you don't become prez of the US unless the old aristocracy let's you. Also consider that Obama is related to Cheney (old boys club).

Change in the US is only going to happen extremely slowly and while it does, the capitalists are going to squeeze it dry as much as they can. Distractions like destroying other planets, moons, and giving a first-time black prez a Nobel Prize are just the tip of the ice berg.

We the little people have to listen to our gut (despite PTSD and conditioning). We have to stand up and speak out for human rights for peeps on the planet, not bombing other countries or other planets. Only the rich have the money/technology to get off this rock when they blow it up.

This is a NASA project, and therefore funded by our government............

I just can't fathom all of the people here in the US that went to bed hungry last night, the ones that needed medical attention, the baby that died due to poor nutrition, or the person that died because they didn't have enough insurance......

But we blew up over 79 million dollars to see if there was once water on the moon.......Which, by the way it looked like the mission failed miserably........

Our priorities seem a tad off, but shit, I have PTSD and most people think that I am nuts, so my opinion must be crazy too......

In my opinion government agencies are spending too much money maintaining the beauracracy and too little money is getting to actually funding research or helping those in need. $74 MILLION!!!???? I'd be happy if I had half a million in my pocket...and what would I do with it? Likely start a scholarship fund or donate craploads of food to a food bank.
We are dealing with provincial spending scandals here in Ontario too - this gets me, a workers comp administrator filing an expense claim for $240G for a p-t job...makes me think, if it comes down to it and comp wants to retrain me, I want THAT position thank you!

I could not agree with you more. Our new "prez" has appointed bout 100 times more "czars" than any other prez we have ever had.

The guy incharge of our finance reform ( he is the financial advisor to the prez) was caught, in a way, for evading paying his taxes. If he had not been investigated for his "new position", he would hve never been caught. He presented it as an oversight????????????????

I would love to know just how far the moon bomb money would go if spent on something else.

Hmmm...my 2 cents...why not just test the moon rocks Armstrong and Co. brought back from the moon? Although...I suspect this has nothing to do with water and the moon but given that the US wants what they call full spectrum dominance...this was probably some test for the future (current?) weaponization of space...Hhehe I guess I am nuts, eh?

As for the Nobel...I think it was a sort of challenge, as someone pointed out. Let's hope they were right to award it to Mr. Obama

As someone pointed out earlier, when the US is going to hell in a hand basket, the govt. gives us some stupid news story to focus on so we don't notice.

I don't think anyone who has posted here is nuts. We are part of a group of people who actually think this "is" insane.
