Wendy is talking about a specific issue outside of not just getting onto the forum. The only three that seem to have the issue is Wendy, Tude and Herc, from reading this thread. Any type of Google message is instigated upon your computer / browser, not this forum or server. Usually someone has something Google installed, whether a toolbar or extra feature Google provide. That is outside of my scope.
For those who simply have not been able to get onto the forum period at moments during the last few days, that has been me doing things at the server and as part of the forum upgrade process.
If you get a PTSD Forum message that the site is down for maintenance or no site at all with no messages, then that is me doing things as part of the upgrade.
If you get the specific message Wendy is talking about, then that is different to what many have experienced from reading just now.
If you don't see the forum at all, or you see a maintenance message, then that is me. Anything outside of this, that is not me or the server.
Amethist specific issue was that someone attempted to login from her IP more than 5 times unsuccessfully, which locked her IP at the server from gaining access. That is a security measure so that no person can continually try and hack a users account, instead it shuts them down after 5 unsuccessful attempts. This specific issue could also replicate to look like this if you were on a wireless connection, had the forum open, and the wireless connection dropped out, you tried to post, again, again, again, and then final time. That would be a rare case though.
