This sounds like a great idea. I have and gym membership I never use. I meditate sporadically at best .It would be nice to have some people to help keep me accountable. I generally start things and I'm good for 2 weeks then stop. TED talks Are great and they are short enough that I don't lose interest.

Okay... so far we've got (not counting myself)

Safe Now
Into The Light
Mercy
Ms. Spock
KP the Nut
Sheila Barrera
Monster 1977
Eleanor
Therapy Bankrupt
Pixi
Laurie J
Cooking Gal
Brad 1980
Ari Bear

That's a core group of 15 which increases the odds that some of us will more than likely be able to cross the finish line on the 21 days.

I'm psyched now. :) If anything good happens, it will be an experience to build on.

Did I miss anyone? I think I got it but am not sure.

Tomorrow is one week til the challenge. Usually before a challenge, I read up on various sites and look for ideas, links, music, inspirational stuff to read. Things to book mark so it doesn't take very much effort to do the meditation or inspirational reading. I am thinking I would like to try to keep the time down to about 1-2 hours per day for 21 days. With 30-45 minutes of that being cardio. With two jobs now and "the moms", I need to think of a strategy about how I can do it sincerely but efficiently (sp?). Then when the challenge starts I try to do the "plan" and tweek it to make it work.

Just about 7 days before the challenge, ladies and gentlemen, start your engines. I'll put up a private conversation tomorrow.

Okay so, a TED talk I viewed earler this year is an 13 minute or so clip. "The Happiness Advantage" by Shawn Achor. He says something profound which I really can agree with, "The lens with which your brian views the world, shapes your reality. If we can change the lens we can change your reality."

This really ties in with neuroplasticity and the ways in which the brain changes itself (to use the title of the book).

I listened to an interesting podcast on trauma and the brain yesterday. It is on the ABC Life Matters website, (and there are over a 1000 podcasts to listen there, all free,) Neuroscience: Assisting recovery from trauma, it is interesting because it takes about how the various systems of the brain work and how movement and music can access the lower levels of the brain to heal it.

I think all the goals that I have been doing and all the physical activity has certainly assisted me in moving forward.
