Our Pets

Buddy has been a naughty dog. Though she knows how to tell me that she needs to go out she has managed to poo down the basement several times this week. What I don't get is when she does it since she is nearly attached to my hip. So now I'm on everyone to keep the door to the basement closed. At least it is a cement floor. Still, I'd rather she didn't do that!

Buddy must have sensed that my day started out worse then usual, because she came and stared at me until I petted her. She doesn't usually do that that early in the morning. Not after we've already had our love fest.

Buddy took off not once, but twice, after something into the woods and not listening when I was calling for her. The second time she came back stinky and I had to give her(us) a bath. Then, before I could stop her, she got my couch all wet. Now I won't let her on the bed with me and she is crying. I'm so mad, finally calming down, but I wish she knew why I was mad. She doesn't get the whole give me space. I'm not just mad at her, I'm mad at me for obviously not training her better. So frustrated right now.

My in-laws sent me clothes and our cat loves them.

We're working on creating our own zoo here.

We have two 17 year old cats that we got right a couple weeks after our wedding. One is going senile I think. Poor boy. The other is a spry little girl who prefers to drink from the bathroom faucet.

We just got one of our sons a bearded dragon. He's still a super curious baby and completely adorable. At first he flat refused any of his veggies so we had to hand feed him. Now he gobbles them up!

It took several years for my daughter and I convince my husband that a giant spider would make a good pet. Once we got one tarantula and he saw how awesome they are, we quickly got to get another one. Now we have 6 eight legged creatures each in their own little habitat. My favorite is our Grammostola pulchra, a shiny jet black tarantula that can get up to 7" and live for 20 or more years.

My eldest wants a snake next and my daughter want a leopard gecko.

So frustrating when my dog does her business inside the house! Usually it is in the basement, but, today, I came home to it in the living room because she didn't have access to the basement. Thing is, I had her outside before I left and I was only gone about 30 minutes. Naughty, naughty girl. See above picture for the culprit!
