Today Buddy took her treat, jumped in a laundry basket, hid it, jumped out, hovered over it for awhile, jumped back in, took it out and finally ate it! Goof.
My husband is out snow blowing. The dogs were so excited when they heard him stop to come in, but it was only brief. When he turned to go back outside, they started to go with him and he said no. He closed the door to them. They immediately came into where I am and have begun staring at me. They'll have to adjust and wait, no matter how endearing their looks are right now.
Max and Saffi are being so sweet whilst Hubby is away. Last night they were both snuggled so close to me. Saffi was curled into my neck - so comforting and just what I needed.
We have had so much rain recently, everywhere, including my garden is completely water logged. Saffi, hates getting her feet wet. I let both dogs out last night for their last wee before bedtime. Max went bounding through the mud whilst Saffi jumped off the patio onto a stepping stone in the grass. She stood with all four paws squished together trying to work out the driest way over the grass, - she was not amused.
@KP the nut I use to have a great dane like that. It was so funny watching her try to navigate the puddles with her huge paws and three feet long legs! She just couldn't stand the water just like Saffi. I miss her.
@KP the nut - Thanks, KP. Max is my son's, Buddie belongs to my brother - Basenjis, in general, don't like getting wet (like cats don't). But the two of them will run out, do what they have to, then quickly come in. Opa, my beloved past dog, died of bladder cancer. When it rained, I had to drag or carry her out door, and even then sometimes she wouldn't go :-( But she loved to swim. Strange.
Anyhoo, I'll get Zoey at a younger age than Opa and hope to train her to go when she needs to and, hopefully, swim also :)
I need a companion  The online dating site I signed up for isn't cutting it :-o
Molly has loved the snow, but her poor coat is so matted from being wet that she is resembling more of a mop than a dog. (Check out the crazy ears.) Trying to figure out how to get the mats out without cutting them.....but she may end up with a crazy do.
I rescued and fostered a kitten from a garbage can. It was found with 2 other kittens tied up in a bag and dumped into the trash. I don't know who could do such a thing but all 3 kittens were rescued and adopted out. The little male kitten I have adopted is so cute and lovable that I really wish I had a descent camera so I could share pictures.
He is white with gray markings and may possibly be part Siamese. He is very affectionate (read: spoiled) and I consider it a blessing to have the patter of his little feet in my life. He is going to be a beautiful cat.
