Does anyone else get these sort of symptoms?? Do you have to even been on a high level anxiety to experience them? I gave it in my hands and fingers, like they are asleep. And my arms have pins and needles, not to mention my legs instantly cramp up the instant I try to walk far distances. Can anyone help me out here?

With anxiety I've had tingling in my hands, too, like they're asleep. I've also felt like the top of my head is coming off, no joke. Have you been to a doctor and ruled out any physical problems?

Before my therapist diagnosed me with PTSD she had me get a blood test to check for thyroid problems, as they can mimic symptoms, evidently. I took it seriously because my mom has type I diabetes and had to have her thyroid nuked. But I checked out fine in that department, thank God.

Oh I was so bad with my OCD related health anxiety I was going to my doctor once every three weeks for something I was convinced is going to kill me. That had been going on for a good 4 years too. I've had CBCs, CT scans, Ultrasounds, full body check ups basically. My doctor just wants me to focus on my current meds, and I was doing pretty solid too...but out of nowhere my symptoms just became really extreme and unbearable. I don't know if my usual level of anxiety has gotten worse, and it just normal to me or can new symptoms just arise out of nowhere?

Are you taking any anti-anxiety med? It may help. I don't know what to tell you, except that anxiety symptoms can get worse if you have something stressful going on in your life.

I get the pins and needles with anxiety. I believe it is because anxiety can change where your body sends it's blood flow to prepare for fight or flight.

Leg cramps can indicate a vitamin deficiency. Stress depletes our vitamin levels. Good luck getting a Dr. to check them though if you aren't having other serious symptoms. Some will, an OD (osteopathic dr.) is more likely than MD to do it. B vitamins, D, magnesium, and potassium deficiencies can all cause the symptoms you are describing. Taking vitamins doesn't require a trip to the Dr, and with how taxing PTSD is on our body, it is probably something we should all be doing.

can new symptoms just arise out of nowhere?

Yes, they can and often do. I thought to be in clear only for the next symptom to rear its ugly head and sometimes to revert back to the original one.

As others have said, tingling in the extremities is a normal anxiety symptom. And yea, I think muscle pain falls in that category also (if you lock your body up as I do).
