Great work on the rescue of Sir Hiss, @Tornadic Thoughts !

Following on with that theme, my dad has extended his role of butterfly rescuer to pigeon rehabilitator!

Two days ago a group of three pigeons flew straight into one of his windows at work.
He went outside to check on them and they were in shock and doing very poorly; he didn't actually think any of them would survive.

This morning, two of them were released, and the last is recovering thanks to intermittent feedings with a sugar-water solution, and sharing in my dad's sandwich this lunchtime :)

I didn't get to see his flock mates, but I named this guy Lord Percival (Percy).
He's pictured here sleeping in his blanket box to help him stay warm.

All the outdoor photos, here, makes me want to grab my camera and look for some new spring growth to record. Here is one of mine. It is from a small cliff that is full of spring runoff that feeds the moss on the rocks and small plants in the cracks.

This is my moth buddy currently hanging out near one of my favorite pics that I got many years ago at a pow wow...I keep trying to set the moth free out of an open window, but nope...he'd rather stay inside....I included the close-up where you can see the flash of the camera reflecting in his eye...reminds me of the story @shatter eyes told about his grandma and the moths (I hope I remembered correctly...if not, please forgive me)....

Grandma told me moths are visiting spirits and not the hurt them. I still remember how scared i was every time a moth was in the house. Eventually i grew to appreciate them. They are very cool creatures.
