May have mentioned to a friend of mine that I like pickles.
Came into my office this morning to find a 3kg jar of pickles on my desk. Drink bottle for size reference.

Awwwww....look at the babies, and the beautiful feathers, and that fuzzy squirrel tail!!! What a nice big dose of fur and feathers, @berlinda . :) Good medicine.

I saw a fox baby this morning peeking its head out of their den space they used last year, but once I got the camera, they were gone. It's the same space we see Gus the groundhog inhabiting. Makes us wonder if the groundhog shares his space like an air b&b for the foxes and if they make good roomies. lol

Here's a shot of a tulip on our tulip poplar tree....

We went to a high mountain park and it was so wonderful. Spring has just begun to show itself there. But, it still attracted the brave few who needed to be outside in the mountain air. The park was full of hammocks swinging from the trees with resting bodies in them. It looked like a hammock retreat!!! Made me smile. Here are some photos of the park. Maybe if you close your eyes you can imagine yourself walking along the creek's edge.

Gus is a frequent flyer around here. :) I don't see him daily, but usually a few times a week. ALL the baby animals this time of year make me so damn happy. If it weren't for the front row seat I have of so much nature, I'd been done tripped my trigger by now, for sure. Nature keeps me engaged, curious, excited, baffled, entertained, aware, sometimes saddened, and grateful to still be alive. Now if I could just learn to avoid those f'n mosquitoes. lol

I can't believe this photo was taken almost a year ago.

The inpatient ward cat, Lightning, who always found me and sat on my lap when I was in my very lowest of moments. It took the perceptiveness of animals that I already knew to another level; his accuracy was just uncanny.

This was in one of those moments.
Thank you, sweet Lightning, for helping me make it through.
