I took the camera for a walk today in hopes of brightening things up a bit....a big dose of nature was just what I needed...

Thank you, cardinal, for the pop of color among the sleeping trees...and for making me think of some of my favorite humans...

Thank you tiny violets for reminding me to slow down and look around more often:

Thanks to the little fishy for reminding me our shadows are always close by....and often more prevalent than we may realize....

Had a few wild friends drop by for an afternoon snack today...

Their timing was perfect. I had been having a rough afternoon, missing mom more than usual and having some difficult phone conversations, when two baby birds of some sort landed on the kitchen screen chirping their little hearts out, prompting me to get out of my head and out of the house.

Time for sharing another photo. I am gingerly poking my head out into the world again. Been feeling a bit numb lately. This photo is that of an old English garden at an old castle's back entrance. England boasted some of the most lovely gardens I have ever seen.

Here is another favorite London photo. It was taken from a tour boat on the River Thames. The structure of the bridge was amazing to me and the force of the water added to the sense of its strength.

Naw...I'm a States gal. But, having been raised in Washington state, England was instantly somewhere I felt at home. It was lush and green like Washington and full of flowers. We stopped there on our way to and from Zambia.

I went to the zoo today took a few photos. I tried to be thoughtful when taking them. I used to 'spray and pray' but today I thought of balance and composition a little and only took a couple of each thing. It was a beautiful day, hope yours was too.
