[Tornadic Thoughts]

Took the camera for a walk after 5 days of rain...in hopes of loosening up some aches and unloading the big ol' case of grump-itis I seem to have come down with...

If I'm not mistaken, I think this is a fly catcher, but their heads usually look a little different, so I may be wrong...

These are the result of a pack of flower seeds we were gifted last year...happy to see them back...

Always glad to see these little honeys...

My next "wild" harvest, once a bit more of it blooms...the beautiful red clover...so beneficial and so gorgeous..."Red clover, red clover, send your healin' on over...."

At this point I have Tom Petty's "Wildflowers" song running through my head non-stop..."You belong among the wildflowers...."

I wish I could add a scratch and sniff feature for the peony portion of the walk....especially with the addition of a few catnip plants on this end that smell minty fresh...

My little blue-tailed skink buddy...we usually chat in the evenings when he's hanging out by the raised herb beds on the warm brick wall....always glad to see him....he reminds me I'm not the only one feeling a bit blue at times....

Grateful for the chance to share the beauty that surrounds me as I see it, captured in timeless photos to reflect upon, to remind me how incredibly blessed I am to be immersed in this space. It helps lessen the pain(s) and lift the brain fog, at least for a little while.

Beautiful photos, @Tornadic Thoughts. I was birdwatching today and am not 100% sure of the ID of one of the pics I took, either. The second is a cardinal, of course, but the first...?

Perhaps a wren of some sort, @whiteraven ? Not really sure. The cardinals are an absolute favorite, and you got a great shot! I always think of our dear @ladee when I see them.

I saw one taking a bath in the mountain stream today as I was taking off to go to town. We're surrounded by endless hours of entertainment. lol Glad for the chance to capture and share the kodak moments, for sure.
