Mother’s day flowers still giving.

The beach was foggy and cool with big surf. You could hear it from about a block away. It was probably 15 degrees cooler on the beach than at my house, 2 blocks away. I love the weather here . : )

Took the camera for a walk to create a much needed shift from worry and what-ifness to beauty and gratitude...

A yellow iris that bloomed for the first time this year (we've been here 5 years)...

This mockingbird kept me entertained for quite some time - reminding me that no matter how much shit surrounds me (like on that clothesline pole, for example), I may as well sing at the top of my lungs, too...

It was really beautiful again yesterday because if the temperature mostly. It was freezing on the beach but bright and sunny. Walking into the wind one way and being blown back up the beach the other. Low 60s 25 mph winds out of the SE off the water . Late afternoon.

I am really fortunate that despite the fact I live in a norther clime there is an indoor botanical garden that is built in the shape of 4 pyramids and has 4 separate bioms from arid to tropical. They have a rather rare plant, one of the largest flowers in the world it is a Titan Arum or corpse plant. Blooms can be up to 10 feet tall and shoot up to that height in a few days. The bloom (yeah it came by honestly are beautiful and only last 24 to 48 hours. Thankfully they have a wonderful volunteer staff that keep the place open when it blooms every few years.

A moth buddy I found in the garage. I learned it's a female salt marsh moth and has a lifespan of only 4-5 days. I'm honored to have crossed paths in that short time. Her body underneath her wings was a sort of orange-ish color:
