If I can create one positive thing for one person on one day, well sure I'd like to do more.. but that small bit is worthwhile. The fact that something is small, doesn't invalidate what has actually been done.

This statement of yours that I am quoting, is actually a very BIG truth! When you create a positive moment or "thing" in someone's day, that is a gift! When you stopped by my profile and offered your caring words, you gave me a moment of caring concern, and that is valuable to me!

I can fill a page with words, and maybe miss the moment of comfort that is really what the person needs, rather than needing my "preaching" or wordy attempts to lift them up, or shine a light on their day. The fact that you WANT to shine a light on other people speaks VERY highly of the beautiful condition of your heart!

I appreciate your desire to uplift and encourage others', when you are feeling down, or feel unable to interact in a larger way. I suggest that no matter what the "size" of your efforts, you are helping and THAT is what matters most!

Try not to "should" on yourself, thinking you "should" do more than you are doing. There is no need to judge your efforts by thinking that you don't do enough. I think that encouraging other people here, is a VERY honorable thing to do, even if it's only one person that feels better because of your :hug: hugs, verbal or virtual. Many people go through their day without one compassionate word from ANYONE. If you are able to brighten even one person's day, just one time, you have successfully used your heart and soul.

I'm glad when people say "no" to some things because then I know I can trust their "yes."

This is an excellent point. I have a major "waffler" in my life, and it is exhausting, trying to get a straight answer. Apparently I'm supposed to guess. :/ and god help me if I guess wrong!
