General Prayers Please

You are in my thoughts & prayers ISH. 2 yrs ago my granddaughter was born preterm as well and spent 3 months in the NICU, so I understand some of what you are going through.

Dear ISH, myself and 2 out of 3 of my sisters were all born premature, and we're all here.
My mom was told one would have a weak lung- she runs 10 miles/ day- in the rain yet, too.

Thank you for the update. Your grandbaby remains in my prayers also. My son spent a long, long time in NICU- so much remember the vigil. He's 31 now.

If I had to have one to one care I know the sort of people I would want to be in there fighting for me, and you are one of them ISH.

Connor is still sick enough to need 1:1 care. 11 days now. Worry about the future creeps in. We go sit with him a lot, of course. My daughter has not yet been able to hold him but we sit near him as much as we can, just to give him human touch. I sing the ABC song every night when I leave. "Next time won't you sing with me?" and hope there is that time in the future.

Mine was 'You are my Sunshine'. He is 31, has always sworn that song tugs at him without him knowing quite why. The nurses told me they know we're there, gosh I know they're right.

ISH ,my prayers are with you and your family and precious little grandson. I am on 6 weeks cares leave caring for my daughter with major pregnancy complications - she has a c- sect on Monday if we can get her that far so share your worries. Please take care and I hope Connor grows stronger every day.

Your daughter, grandson and you and your family are added to prayers for this today, Tessa. I do look forward to hearing of grandparents ISH and Tessa breathing better soon, and not minding at all a few more gray hairs from all the worry. My grandson had open heart surgery soon after birth-went through much hair dye, to be sure. He's now getting a start on his parents' hair, keeping them more than busy as a healthy, active 18 month old.
