My doctor put me on 20 mg of Prozac recently after my therapist wanted me to get an as needed medication for my panic attacks. My doctor said that it might be better to put me on a low dose SSRI until I can get the anxiety in check.

Well, it's been a week and I feel weird. I feel like I have TMJ all of a sudden, and my head has been tingly for two days, and I have zero appetite. Is this normal?

The good thing though is my anxiety seems to have calmed down, but I really haven't been able to think much about anything. Just feel foggy.

Do these things go away? I have a follow up in a week, I'm kinda on the fence about whether I want to continue on this medication.

I'm getting on prozac this Friday again after over 20 years. I understand it takes about a month to get totally accustomed to it. I am so glad to hear about the anxiety being better as that's one major thing I need it for. Honestly its painful to live with. I read it helps ptsd greatly. I have seen friends get way better on it, and family. Hang in there, and thanks for the post. Glad to hear no appetite as most medications cause increased appetite. My friend did say it was the first few weeks that it took to stop getting head aches, and feeling zombie funny. I hope it gets better.

My psychiatrist did the same thing I was on 20 mg for 5 days then went to 40mg.

Luckily no weird side effects. I just started the 40 mg dosage 3 days ago.
