Ptsd And My Relationship

My relationship is going down the tubes due to this monster called PTSD, and I don't know what to do an...

Hello! I am on the opposite in of this! The monster is taking my relationship, but the one with PTSD doesn't acknowledge it. I became fully aware after I became the one that he "numbed" and disassociated from. Does she understand PTSD? Has she done her research? Now that I have, everything over the past 4 years, which is about when his symptoms started makes perfect sense! He refuses to acknowledge it or seek treatment at this point. While he may still leave in 2 weeks like he says he is going to, I can't imagine that if I knew he needed me and he ask me for help that I wouldn't still be there, because know I know it was the monster I lost my husband to.

It is so hard for both people in the relationship. Part of making it through is understanding each other and how it affects the two of you. Marriage counselling helped us. Maybe look into it. :hug:

Sounds like you could benefit from relationship counseling, just my personal opinion.
