Poll PTSD Forum Goes Bahamas 2012 - Dates

When I initially posted this, I included a Jan date range. Well, after checking flights... that is not a good option as they double in cost. So our flights to LAX go from $3000 - $6000, which means we wouldn't be attending in January.

We can make either approximate date range above.

Nicolette and I are happy to vote nearer the end of the poll, being end March, as we can make either range.

From further searching on the Club Med site, it seems the packages for that Club Med are either 8 nights or 15 nights, as to keep their all inclusive packages cheap, everyone enters the island one day, everyone leaves another day. I don't know if the ability even exists to stay one night.

I voted for the May option. I think the March option leaves us open to the possibility of Spring Break (read: drunken USA college students on break from school and causing extra chaos and havoc) traffic and that is not something I care to deal with.

Just a reminder, that as the location is up for re-evaluation due to costs, don't stop yourself from voting your preferred option in case the opportunity arises that the final location is somewhere you can go for a day, weekend, long weekend period etc.

I also voted for May, 2 reasons.
- avoiding the spring break scene
- better fishing in May
I would really like to meet as many of you as possible.

I voted for the May option but the march dates would be fine with us too.

Hubby wants to come too :thumbs-up. He has said he wants to class it as my 50th birthday celebration, which unfortunately had to by abandoned due to him being in no fit state to do anything for me at the time.

I will be 54 by the time we join you all :eek:, but hey better late than never.

But hubby will still look older than me, even though he is 2 1/2 years younger than I am. Yes Nicolette, I got myself a toy boy. :wink:

Very true Nicolette. You should see the sticker I have on my door. I bought it at the first big motorbike rally he took me to.

It says and I quote;

Wicked I know, but it was my house when I met him and he was under my spell, so he had to let me put it on. It is still there as a reminder to all who enter, :rofl:

If any one asks him why he lets me keep it there, he tells them that I am the lady of the house and my word is law. His sense of humour is worse than mine.
