Hello all,
Just wanted to introduce myself. A little more than a year ago I has a massive, and still unexplained, hemorrhagic stroke. There were no warning signs, luckily it happened when I was still young ( I was 25 when it happened), and very much in good shape, so I have recovered completely physically. I did stay in the hospital for two weeks with extremely limited capacity for speech ( a sentence at most) with extreme difficulty, lost most control over the right side of my body, and could not read, write, walk, and was kind of delirious for about 3 weeks. It took about a year but now I am completely physically recovered.
However I feel on edge when around people I don't know, have trouble sleeping, don't really see my self living past the next 5 or 10 years, don't feel comfortable around large groups of people. All of your classic symptoms with the exclusion of reliving the stroke and nightmares because I blacked out for three days when it happened.
I am seeing a therapist and attempting to work through these issues.
Thank you for reading this and I hope to become a active member of your community.
