PTSD? I Don't Get It

Deep breath. I didn't notice anything about your post except caring, encouragement and support. As far as the group goes, I am becoming more convinced as time goes on that this group is a sort of institutionalized situation, and that it probably just isn't the right group for me. These are mostly guys who have been on total disability for PTSD for years, and their issues are just a little different than mine. I think they may be doing what they're capable of doing. I just need to find a group that's a better fit, and I think I'll talk to the leader about it next week, possibly in private.

Thanks for your concern, and please don't worry about giving me a wrong impression. I'm thicked skinned and not very impressionable. :wink:

Hi Patrick.... obviously you met the standing first two criteria for PTSD which must be met before a shrink will even look at the rest of the nonesense... You have obviously endured abnormal trauma to be looked at for PTSD.
