Relationship Ptsd & Meth Abuse

I've been dating this man for about a year and recently became more serious "girlfriend". He has been honest about his PTSD and his "meth-smoking" as a way to cope. As one would imagine, things have taken an ugly turn. His personality, his disillusions, paranoia ..... Have created this monster of a man that can turn on me in a heartbeat.

The other night he was convinced I was "being sneaky" . I have been a loyal girlfriend to the fullest... So when he looked at me dead in the eye and told me to get out of his sight because he's gonna kill me -- I was so shaken up and terrified... But I don't dare tell my mom or any of my friends the details if what I've going through... I don't wanna be the victim especially when any sane woman would have left a long time ago. I look forward to any reply. Thank you.

Any guy who says to get out of his sight because he is going to kill you, I would listen to! As a matter of fact, I would stay so far out of his sight he would never see me again!

You don't want to tell friends and family because you don't want to be the victim or because you don't want them to dislike him making it harder for you to justify being with him? Think clearly and ask yourself what it is you are afraid of and then ask yourself what advice you would give your friend or loved one. Then I suggest when you realize that you would advise your friend to get out before she gets hurt, GET OUT! It is only a matter of time before he makes good on his promise to kill you. Meth is a bad, bad thing.

Take care of yourself! AND, please tell your family and let them help you through this!
