Ptsd Or Is My Vet Cheating On Me Or Just Insensitive

He seems to be much closer to his best friend (=also a Vet) then to me.
He tells him "I love you, buddy" (in front of people), rarely tells me he loves me. If I tell him I love him he says "Thank you" and that's it.
Never goes places with me/the family but goes places with his friend.
Spends a lot of time with him talking over the phone.

He was with his buddy and other friends he occasionally shut the door/shut me out.

Need opinions.

It's possible that you aren't in a good headspace to be in this relationship right now. That's a third option, besides cheating on you or being insensitive. It sounds like he is doing the things he needs to do in order to support and take care of himself. Have you ever asked him about how to be part of his support system?

And is this a marriage/committed partnership or is this dating? (maybe doesn't make a difference, but might change how invested you are in working this out)
