My feeling, as an undiagnosed SPD, is that SPD develops from PTSD due to early childhood trauma of emotional neglect. The constriction, detachment, and isolation symptoms of PTSD are considered in the child's mind as "normal" because there is really nothing to compare it to. There are also no negative emotions attached to these attributes because they've always been there. Negative emotions can develop later as the child is guilted and shamed because her behaviors do not match those of a "happy" child.
I think it's also important to note, as I've said earlier, that the type of trauma that the PTSD develops from is probably mostly emotional neglect. Because of this pattern the child simultaneously develops an avoidant attachment style. This attachment style further enhances the distancing as there is no positive feedback from being around other people.
