So, a month ago I started a new sleep med called Quviviq/ Daridorexant
It's pretty new and a bit pricier than normal sleep meds but the advantage is that it doesn't cause dependence like many other sleep meds.
I've been finding it super helpful because while I sleep 8 hours a night, my sleep is absolutely crap thanks to PTSD. I'm basically in a fight/flight state all night and wake up utterly exhausted in the morning.
Anyway, the med blocks some part of the Orexin pathway, or something like that - I think it's one of the body's stress hormones.
Anway, I just thought I'd post about it because I've never seen it mentioned on the forum and it's having a huge impact on the quality of my sleep and hence on the quality of my life overall.
